Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima under new leadership

Archbishop José H. Gomez has appointed Msgr. Timothy O’Connell as spiritual director of the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fatima, Los Angeles Archdiocesan Division. Msgr. O’Connell will begin his new role in January.

The Los Angeles Marian group plans to renew and develop its programs, including a new Fatima Youth program that is currently in development. The group helps to spread the message of Fatima and its devotions, hosts Pilgrim Virgin statue tours and encourages total consecration to Jesus through Mary, among many other initiatives.

As part of the reforms, representatives from each pastoral region in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles were selected as members of the group’s new leadership team on Oct. 31 in Torrance. Each member is a faithful member of the Church and has a great devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.

An affiliation of the World Apostolate of Fatima USA, the Los Angeles Division is recognized by the Catholic Church as a Public Association of the Faithful.
