Holy Week in downtown Los Angeles is a time of celebration and tradition. Among them: the Blessing of the Animals at La Placita, where this year Archbishop José Gomez blessed white doves among other creatures, and Easter Sunday Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, with this year’s neophytes, baptized the previous evening at the Easter Vigil, celebrating as fully initiated members of the assembly.
