Many young students in Los Angeles will soon benefit from a donation of $1,445,000 from the Carrie Estelle Doheny Foundation, which donated the funds to support tuition scholarships at 45 Catholic schools.

The award-winning schools receiving the funding demonstrate exemplary Christian service and academic accomplishments, but also require assistance for students struggling to pay tuition fees.

The generous donation is being provided by Doheny High School Scholarships, a program celebrating 20 years of providing financial assistance. Students are selected for the scholarships based on their school’s evaluation of character, leadership skills, academic ability and financial need.
