Archbishop Gomez celebrates the generous service and talents of six Catholics at Cardinal’s Awards Dinner

On March 11, six members of the Los Angeles Catholic community received the 2017 29th Cardinal’s Awards for their extensive and distinguished service. The event took place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.

“The Cardinal’s Awards Dinner is a celebration of our Christian duty to love and make our society better,” Archbishop José H. Gomez said during the event. The honorees included Bill H. Ahmanson, Rick J. Caruso, Patrick Hickey, Letty Ibarra, Nick Weber and Gretchen Willison.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the archdiocese’s Catholic Education Foundation (CEF), which is celebrating 30 years of making Catholic education a possibility for all families by providing tuition assistance to the most financially deserving students.
