St. Barbara Parish’s Father Larry publishes ‘Unshadowed Light’

Father Larry Gosselin, OFM, from St. Barbara Parish at Old Mission Santa Barbara, has recently released “Unshadowed Light,” a poetry and prayer book inspired by the writings and life of St. Clare of Assisi.

Written with a Franciscan viewpoint, the book uses scriptural and contemporary images to bring the reader to a deeper prayer life. Steve Kalar is the book’s illustrator.

This is Father Gosselin’s second published book. He has published another poetry book, entitled “Hidden Sweetness.” Father Gosselin’s writing comes from a deep passion and loving appreciation for the inspired word and poetry, according to his parish biography.

A copy of the book may be purchased at the parish office for $26.95. For more information, please call (805) 682-4151.
