Girls’ volleyball: Mater Dei, Marymount play in Regional semis

Mater Dei and Marymount, the only Catholic teams remaining in the Southern California Regional portion of the CIF State Girls’ Volleyball Tournament, play their Open Division semifinal matches Nov. 10

Top-seeded Mater Dei plays No. 4 Redondo Union, and No. 3 Marymount goes against No. 2 Torrey Pines.

In Division I quarterfinal action Nov. 8, Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks was beaten by top-seeded Temecula Valley, 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

In Division II, No. 15 Bishop Montgomery lost to No. 7 Garces Memorial, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23. And in Division III, No. 1 Ontario Christian defeated ninth-seeded St. Anthony, 25-22, 25-17, 25-17.
