Encountering Jesus Christ in Advent

Advent can be a time of excessive busyness and stress as we prepare for Christmas Day, but it also provides us an opportunity for reflection and renewal of spirit as we ponder and celebrate the miracle of God becoming one with us through the birth of Jesus.

This Advent, Padre Serra Catholic Church urges you to join them to discover the deeper meaning of “incarnation.” Dr. Mark Fischer, professor of theology at St. John’s Seminary, will help us to understand more fully how Jesus shares our humanity and how we can respond to God’s Christmas gift to us. No cost to attend.  Doors open and hospitality begins at 6:30 p.m.

Evening of Advent prayer, Dec. 3, 2014, 7 p.m., 5205 Upland Road, Camarillo.

RSVP: [email protected].
