On Jan. 11, the 2017 Cardinal’s Awards honorees attended Mass at the Church of Our Savior with Archbishop José H. Gomez as celebrant, followed by lunch at the Caruso Catholic Center at USC.
The honorees included Nick Weber, Rick Caruso, Letty Ibarra and Bill Ahmanson. Cardinal Roger Mahony, the former Archbishop of Los Angeles, instituted the awards ceremony in order to celebrate the selfless and talented people who make up the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
The honorees will next attend the Cardinal’s Awards Dinner on March 11 in the International Ballroom at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The black-tie gala event will act as a fundraiser to directly benefit the underprivileged across the five pastoral regions.
