On April 18, San Gabriel Mission High School senior Reney Diaz signed with Division 1 Sacramento State University as a member of the women’s rowing team. The high school’s athletic department congratulated Diaz for her accomplishment in a recent press release.
The all-girls’ Catholic college preparatory high school held an assembly where Reney announced her achievement, surrounded by faculty, coaches, family, teammates, friends and well-wishers. An all-around athlete at her high school, Diaz was also a member of the volleyball, basketball and track and field team. She gave credit to her coach, Ivan Barajas, and her family for her success.
