On June 14, the Catholic Church of St. Bede the Venerable celebrated Mass in honor of Msgr. Antonio Cacciapuoti’s 25 years of priestly service.

The family, friends and parishioners of Msgr. Cacciapuoti traveled from as far as Aversa, Italy, to attend the Silver Jubilee celebration. Msgr. Cacciapuoti was born in Naples, Italy, and completed his studies for the priesthood at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo, California.

Cardinal Roger M. Mahony, the archbishop emeritus of Los Angeles, presided at the Mass and was joined by bishops, pastors and deacons from California and Italy. Cardinal Mahony ordained Msgr. Antonio to the priesthood in 1990. A courtyard reception followed the Mass.

Msgr. Cacciapuoti has served at St. Bede the Venerable since 2010, after completing 11 years as pastor at Christ the King Parish in Hancock Park. During his service as a priest, Msgr. Cacciapuoti became a U.S. citizen while maintaining his Italian heritage.
