The CIF-Southern Section Softball Tournament begins on Thursday, May 2.

Sixteen Catholic school teams qualify for the first round of the CIF-SS Baseball tournament, while four teams qualify for wild card spots.

Division 1: Mater Dei plays at Esperanza.

Division 2: St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs) plays at Rio Mesa; Chaminade plays at Royal.

Division 3: Bishop Amat hosts Irvine; Notre Dame (Sherman Oaks) hosts Mira Costa.

Division 4: Mary Star hosts Wild Card Winner F (Culver City or El Rancho).

Division 5: Paraclete hosts Bishop Montgomery; Flintridge Sacred Heart hosts Knight; Serra hosts Campbell Hall.

Division 6: Ramona Convent hosts Wild Card Winner C (Lancaster or Century); Cantwell Sacred Heart hosts La Puente; Notre Dame (Riverside) hosts Wild Card Winner H (Hesperia or Adelanto).

Division 7: St. Pius/St. Matthias plays at San Jacinto Valley; Mayfield hosts Cal Lutheran; Sacred Heart (Los Angeles) plays at Vasquez.

In wild card games to be played Tuesday, April 30: Pomona Catholic hosts Burbank (Division 4), with the winner to play at Rialto; La Reina hosts Fillmore (Division 4), with the winner to play at Westlake; St. Anthony hosts El Toro (Division 4), with the winner to play at Godinez; Santa Clara hosts Chadwick (Division 6), with the winner to play at Sierra Vista.
