On Aug. 24, Servite High School in Anaheim held a dedication ceremony to celebrate the grand opening of the new Father Kevin Fitzpatrick Aquatic Center, marking the end of a yearlong $5.7 million project.
Alumni, parents and aquatics athletes gathered for the ribbon-cutting ceremony to ring in the future of Servite Aquatics.
The new facility is named in honor of the school’s beloved Father Kevin Fitzpatrick, OSM. “Father Fitz” served at Servite for 22 years (1970-1992), teaching algebra and religion while also coaching the swim teams and water polo.
The new pool allows multiple teams to practice and to host CIF, regional and national swimming and water polo tournaments.
