On March 4, the San Gabriel Mission High School soccer team made school history with the victory of its first CIF Southern Section Division 7 Soccer Championship. Senior Ashley Hernandez scored the winning goal during the soccer game, defeating Pacific High School 1-0 at Corona High School.
The San Gabriel Mission soccer team made this season “about moving mountains one rock at a time,” according to the San Bernardino County Sun. The team made good on that theme, securing the championship victory with physically exhausting play and dedication.
