The recent partnership between San Gabriel Mission High School and Azusa Pacific University will allow the high school students to begin their college career without leaving their campus.

Due to the high school’s International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, participating students of the program will be eligible to enroll in a music fundamentals class for college credit from an Azusa Pacific professor on the high school campus.

Students admitted into the program will receive an Azusa Pacific identification card, an official university shirt and special recognition at the high school’s end of the year academic award ceremony. The admitted students will also be invited to select campus events at the university.

“APU is a highly recognized university with outstanding academic programs. We are excited about the opportunity for our students to begin their college career while earning their high school diploma from Mission,” said Roberto Dimas, the high school’s assistant principal of curriculum and instruction.
