Ramona Convent Secondary School recently announced its new AP Capstone program, which will complement the school’s 27 advanced placement and honors courses offered as part of the school’s curriculum.

The Catholic prep school will offer an AP seminar course in the fall of 2017, followed by an AP research course the following fall semester. These two courses are geared toward teaching students research, collaboration and communication skills.

Mary E. Mansell, the school’s principal said, “Through interdisciplinary, independent research, students will sharpen the critical reading, writing and thinking skills required for success in college.”

The College Board selected Ramona Convent, along with two other Catholic high schools in the Greater Los Angeles Area, to implement the program.
