The CIF-Southern Section Softball Tournament begins on Thursday, May 2.
Four Catholic school teams qualified for wild card spots in the CIF-SS Softball tournament. All four teams won their games.
In wild card games played Tuesday, April 30:
Division 4: Pomona Catholic d. Burbank 10-2 and will play at Rialto; La Reina d. Fillmore 2-1 and will play at Westlake; St. Anthony d. El Toro 12-2 and will play at Godinez.
Division 6: Santa Clara d. Chadwick 2-1 and will play at Sierra Vista.
Boys' tennis
The CIF-Southern Section Tennis Tournament begins on Wednesday, May 1.
One Catholic school team — Mater Dei, a member of Division 3 — qualifies for the first round of the CIF-SS Boys Tennis tournament. On Tuesday, April 30, Mater Dei d. Crean Lutheran 16-2 and will play at Mayfair tonight.
