J.Serra is still number one in Division 1, according to the CIF-Southern Section girls’ soccer rankings released Dec. 16.

But there was movement elsewhere, as Santa Clara rose from third to second in Division 7, passing St. Monica of Santa Monica which dropped from first to third. Alverno Heights remained sixth.

Elsewhere, Flintridge Sacred Heart is third (up from fourth) and Bishop Amat seventh in D-2, and La Salle is fourth and Chaminade tenth in D-3.

In boys’ soccer, Cathedral is third, Mater Dei fourth, Servite seventh and Loyola ninth in D-1, all unchanged from last week. St. John Bosco fell from second to ninth in D-2; Salesian second (up from fourth) in D-3; Bishop Diego eighth in D-6; and St. Anthony fifth and Paraclete seventh (each up one spot) in D-7.

Girls’ Water Polo

Santa Margarita rose from fifth to fourth in the combined D-1& 2 poll of the Dec. 16 CIF-SS survey, with Mater Dei still eighth. Rosary jumped into second in D-3, with Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks eighth; Flintridge Sacred Heart is seventh in D-6; and La Salle is second and Notre Dame Academy eighth in D-7.
