The Nov. 21 semifinal matches of the Southern California Regional Girls’ Volleyball Playoffs will feature all six Catholic school teams representing the Los Angeles Archdiocese and Orange Diocese who were selected for the tournament that leads to the state championships in Sacramento.

The top match on Tuesday figures to be the third meeting of the year between Mater Dei (35-5) and Marymount (31-8), the CIF-SS Division 1 champions and runners-up, who tangle in the Open Division semifinals. Marymount won their regular season affair, but Mater Dei captured the CIF-SS Division 1 title on Nov. 11 b y beating the Sailors.

In Round 2 matches played Nov. 18, results included:

Division I: Santa Margarita (31-9), No. 1 seed, beat Santiago of Corona, 25-17, 25-18, 25-15. Semis: The Eagles play fifth-seeded Bishop’s of La Jolla (27-8), Coastal League champion.

Division II: La Salle (28-6), No. 2 seed, eliminated seventh-seeded Del Norte of San Diego in straight sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-18. Semis: The Lancers meet No. 3 seed Olympian of Chula Vista (30-7), Metro Mesa League champion.

Division III: St. Paul (28-10), No. 2 seed and CIF-SS Division 5 winner, defeated Loma Linda Academy, 25-15, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21. Semis: The Swordsmen meet Poway (23-13), Palomar League co-champion.

Division III: Fourth-seeded La Reina (34-7) beat third-seeded Mission Oak of Tulare, 25-18, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22. Semis: The Regents travel to No. 1 seed Point Loma of San Diego (20-12).

Regional finals (Northern and Southern California) in all divisions are scheduled Nov. 25, and state championships on Dec. 2.
