The CIF-Southern Section Baseball Tournament continues May 17 and 18 with first round games, with 18 Catholic school teams remaining after wild card games played May 15 and 16.
In wild card action, Moorpark beat Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks 3-1 (Division 1) and Village Christian beat Paraclete 3-2 (Division 2). In Division 4, St. Paul defeated Covina 6-5, and Bishop Montgomery lost to Pacifica/Oxnard 8-7.
Second round games will be played May 22, quarterfinals May 25, semifinals May 29, and finals June 1 and 2. Following is the schedule of first round play:
