The William H. Hannon Foundation bestowed a $100,000 grant in support of a new site for Juan Diego House, the Los Angeles Archdiocese’s program for undergraduate-age young men who are discerning their call to the priesthood.

At the center, located in Gardena, seminarians reside in six small homes, but plans are under way to relocate to a single site, bringing together all of the seminarians into a close community. The new site is an unused former convent at Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance. The building will house up to 30 men and will open August 2018.

In recognition of the foundation’s support, the new location’s front plaza will be named the William H. Hannon Foundation Courtyard.
