St. Louise de Marillac recently celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe welcoming Los Angeles Auxiliary Bishop Alexander Salazar, who celebrated Mass for the school and parish communities. First graders retold the story of Juan Diego and Our Lady for the congregation during Mass and also were lectors.
The Guadalupana Society organized mariachis to sing in church before Mass, which brought a festive and energized air to the celebration. The group also provided pan dulce treats for the entire student body after the eucharistic celebration.
Pueri Cantores Performs at Sacred Heart
Young choristers of Pueri Cantores San Gabriel Valley present their 21st annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19 at Sacred Heart Church in Covina. The highly acclaimed choir of children and youth from the San Gabriel Valley will perform carols of the season and the entire Messe de Minuit Pour Noel by French Baroque composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
