Loyola High School students celebrated the school’s sesquicentennial with a mega-cake that could feed all 1,252 students.

On Sept. 2, students, faculty and staff gathered at the Jesuit high school’s Hayden Circle to celebrate their 150th anniversary with a cake decorated in the school colors of blue and white.

The cake celebration was organized despite the all-male student body suggesting that the school’s anniversary be commemorated with a no-test month or a shirtless school day.
