The Thomas P. Kelly Gallery at Loyola Marymount University recently opened a new art exhibit featuring seven of their emerging young artists.

The exhibit will run until May 8, with the Thomas Kelly Art Gallery remaining open throughout the exhibit Monday through Friday, from noon until 4 p.m.

Titled “Preoccupied,” the exhibit showcases art that utilizes many different mediums, including photography, mixed media, painting and installation art.

One of the artists, Quinn Butterfield, calls his art display “Snapshot,” which he creating utilizing old candid family photos and contrasting them with the modern-day obsession of over-sharing via social media.
