Renowned Catholic evangelist and scholar Dr. Scott Hahn will be in the Los Angeles area for two events in the upcoming months.

Dr. Hahn, who is a weekly contributor to Angelus News, will be speaking at Christ Cathedral on Wednesday, June 13. His two talks on “The Fourth Cup: Miracles of Mercy in the Eucharist” and “The First Society: Miracles of Mercy in Marriage” will go deeper into the meaning of Scripture in the Church and our lives today.

Attendees will also have the chance to learn more about the St. Paul Center and their mission to promote biblical literacy from the heart of the Church. Dr. Hahn’s books will be available for sale during and after his presentations.

Then in January 2019, Dr. Hahn will return to the West Coast for a special retreat for priests. “A Priest Forever: Christ and the New Testament Priesthood,” 2019 West Coast Priest Conference, hosted by the St. Paul Center, will be held at the Estancia Resort in La Jolla, CA.

The retreat offers West Coast priests an opportunity for spiritual, intellectual and physical refreshment, over the course of four days, from January 7-10. Dr. Hahn will be joined by Dr. John Bergsma, a senior fellow and professor of Scripture at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Attending priests will be able to participate in daily Mass, Holy Hours, Confession, private prayer, community meals and thought-provoking discussions led by Drs. Hahn and Bergsma about Christ’s mission of the priesthood.
