The Atlanta Boys Choir, a Grammy award-winning youth ensemble, will perform a fundraising event at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on May 31 at 4 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels Music Fund.
This will be a rare chance to hear the internationally acclaimed choir sing in Los Angeles. The group of 35 men and 30 boys will present selections of music that they performed during their tour in Poland last June.
The Atlanta Boys Choir has sung in prestigious concert halls, cathedrals and venues all over the world. They performed at the inauguration of President Carter and have represented the U.S. as ambassadors of culture and goodwill on their tours abroad. The choir has also performed numerous times in St. Peter’s in Rome. They were a longtime personal favorite of Pope Saint John Paul II.
The concert is open to the public and is located at 555 W Temple St., Los Angeles. The fee is a suggested donation of $10. Parking is available at the Cathedral for $8.
