Los Angeles Auxiliary Bishop Robert E. Barron has earned the YouTube Silver Play Button, an award given by YouTube to channels that have more than 100,000 subscribers.
A live video posted Jan. 22 on Bishop Barron’s Facebook page showed him in his Santa Barbara office unwrapping the button. He thanked donors and viewers who have contributed to the success of his Word on Fire channel, which now has more than 124,000 subscribers.
“And I’m grateful to YouTube itself, which has been, for us, an important vehicle of evangelization,” Bishop Barron added.
