The annual Celebration of Cultures, a tradition highlighting the wide diversity of ethnic groups and nationalities present in the Catholic Church of Los Angeles, will take place Sept. 28 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels.Themed “Our Faith and Our Youth Are Our Strength,” this annual celebration honors the unique gifts that different ethnic groups bring, according to Auxiliary Bishop Alexander Salazar, director of the Office of Ethnic Ministries which coordinates the event.The celebration — which begins with a prelude at 9:45 a.m., followed by the 10 a.m. Mass and gathering outside on the Cathedral Plaza after the Mass — is open to all, with native and traditional attire encouraged.
