After his sudden death last month, family and friends of Reverend Adrian San Juan are invited to celebrate his life at his viewing and funeral service next week.
All services will be held at St. Linus Church, 13915 Shoemaker Ave., Norwalk, CA, 90650. On Wednesday, Oct. 14, a drive-thru viewing will be held from 3-4:30 p.m., and a vigil Mass at 5 p.m. Fr. San Juan’s funeral Mass will be celebrated October 15, at 11 a.m. Fr. San Juan will be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Rowland Heights immediately following the Mass.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, space at the Mass is limited to 100 people. To accommodate grieving friends and family of Fr. San Juan, the Mass will be livestreamed on the St. Linus Facebook and Youtube pages.
Rev. San Juan died Saturday, September 19, 2020, after collapsing at the start of a wedding at St. Linus Church, where he served as administrator. He was 43 years old.
After surviving a bout with testicular cancer shortly before his ordination, Fr. San Juan was in what he called his “second life,” a new chance to complete the mission God had given him. By all accounts from his friends and family, his mission was successful. “His goal was to get us to heaven and to really live our faith,” St. Linus business manager Ana Engquist told Angelus in an earlier interview. “Not just on Sundays, but day-to-day, to do the little things to get to heaven.”
