On June 10, Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) in Rosemead held the school’s baccalaureate and commencement exercises for the graduating class of 2016, with 100 percent of the graduating students receiving acceptance into four-year universities and colleges.
Already, graduatings students have garnered a collective $2.4 million in scholarships, with more financial scholarships expected. The students will attend schools such as the U.S. Naval Academy, UCLA and USC, and most will major in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) related fields.
“Bosco Tech’s faculty is extremely proud of the class of 2016,” said school president Xavier Jimenez. “The graduates have excelled in their studies and made the most of the school’s unique technology focus.”
The baccalaureate Mass was held on the campus mall, with the traditional conferral of diplomas and graduation ceremonies immediately following.
