Father Richard Miskella died Thursday, January 4, 2026. He was 89 years old.
Father Miskella was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles on May 1, 1965. While serving as a priest in the Archdiocese, these were his assignments:

- Associate Pastor, St. Elizabeth Church, Van Nuys
- Associate Pastor, St. John Church, Norwalk
- Associate Pastor, La Purisima Concepcion Church, Lompoc
- Pastor, St. Lucy Church, Long Beach
- Pastor, St. Mary Church, Palmdale
- Hospital Chaplain, Outside of the Archdiocese
Funeral services took place in Ireland.
