Deacon Larry Modugno died Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Before he was ordained, Modugno served in the US Navy from 1962-1965, and then in the San Fernando Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. He was ordained a deacon in 1990, and was a chaplain for the Oxnard Police Department for 19 years. Deacon Modugno also served as chaplain for the Ventura County Fire and Sheriff’s Departments.
Deacon Modugno is survived by his four children, their spouses, his brother Glenn, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
