The Office of Worship is presenting formation and training opportunities for several ministries in the coming months.Baptism Team Training, for the purpose of training parish lay ministers who are responsible for (or assisting with) infant baptism preparation, will be conducted at:—St. Monica Church, Santa Monica, on Aug. 17 (6:30-9:30 p.m.) and 18 (8:30-3:30 p.m.; both sessions required). —St. Dominic Savio Church, Bellflower, on Aug. 20, 21 and 27 (6:30-9:30 p.m., all three sessions required).The registration fee is $40, which includes all materials, and is due by Aug.15. Visit http://archla.org/infbap to register.Basic Liturgical Formation will take place in regional, day-long sessions for Eucharistic ministers, lectors, musicians, hospitality ministers (ushers) and RCIA teams at the following locations:—Our Mother of Good Counsel, Los Angeles, Sept. 15.—Mission San Buenaventura, Ventura, Oct. 20.—Holy Trinity Church, San Pedro, Nov. 10.—St. Dominic Savio Church, Bellflower, Jan. 19.All formation days begin with check-in at 8 a.m. and run 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The registration fee of $25 online covers all materials and includes a box lunch.
