St. Anthony High School in Long Beach will soon offer a world-class soccer training program with the help of the Club Athletico Boca Juniors, an athletic club based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This month, the Catholic private school announced their partnership with the organization, which will bring soccer trainers to the school. The club is a global brand that develops elite soccer players through superior technical and tactical soccer training.
The program hopes to provide professional and collegiate opportunities for all of its players, of all races and economic backgrounds, while making a positive impact on all players’ lives.
José Matiauda, a resident of Long Beach and the general manager of the club, says he will build the program while drawing on other local organizations and schools in the area to develop players.
