Bishop Diego junior Grace Hay fired a one under par 69 Oct. 22 to lead Northern Division qualifiers for next week’s CIF-SS Individual Girls’ Golf Championships.

Hay’s score at Los Robles Greens in Thousand Oaks was one better than four golfers who tied for second at 70. Also among the 36 qualifiers for the individual finals was sophomore Liana Brown of Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks, who shot a 73.

Northern Division qualifiers will join those from the Southern Division tournament (scheduled Oct. 24 at Western Hills Golf Club in Chino Hills) for the individual finals, to be played Nov. 1 at River Ridge Golf Club in Oxnard, where Hay won the Tri-Valley League individual title earlier this month.

Also set at River Ridge is the SCGA Team Qualifying Tournament, comprised of teams that placed among the top three at one of four regional team championship events to be held Oct. 29

The CIF/SCGA championships are scheduled Nov. 8 at Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena, and State Championships will be held Nov. 14 at Victoria Club in Riverside.
