Three routs and one tight game left the favorites still fighting for the Division 1 title, following the Nov. 15 quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section 11-man football playoffs. 

Eight Catholic schools remain in the hunt for titles heading into the semifinals on Nov. 22, with several teams posting upsets in the quarterfinals. The results:

Division 1: No. 1 Mater Dei beat No. 8 Bishop Amat 63-23; No. 2 St. John Bosco beat No. 7 Calabasas 63-7; No. 3 Centennial/Corona beat No. 6 J.Serra 56-0; No. 4 Mission Viejo got past No. 5 Servite 38-35.
D-2: Chaminade edged Upland 28-27 in overtime.
D-3: Alemany beat Tesoro 47-28.
D-4: Loyola beat Villa Park 45-28.
D-5: St. Paul beat Yorba Linda 28-16.
D-6: Crespi upset No. 1 seed Ayala 38-35.
D-13: Ramona beat Cantwell-Sacred Heart 44-14.
D-14: St. Pius X-St. Matthias beat Ganesha 58-0; Vista Del Lago/Moreno Valley beat Mary Star 27-20.
