St. Bonaventure of Ventura moved into the Division IV semifinals of the CIF girls’ volleyball Southern California Regionals with a victory Nov. 14.
The No. 2 Seraphs (26-8) defeated No. 7 Desert Christian Academy, 22-25, 25-11, 25-14, 25-16. On Nov. 16, St. Bonaventure will play No. 6 El Camino Real (23-14) of Woodland Hills, which earlier beat Sacred Heart. The Regional finals are Nov. 19.
Elsewhere, No. 9 Bishop Montgomery lost its Division II quarterfinal match to No. 1 Murrieta Valley, 20-25, 25-17, 25-14, 25-16. And in Division V, No. 8 St. Bernard lost to No. 1 Mammoth, 25-19, 25-12, 25-22.
Marymount and Mater Dei earlier qualified for the Open Division semis, also to be played Nov. 16.
