Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks fell just short of a CIF-Southern Section Division 3 girls' tennis championship, losing 10-8 to top-seeded Portola in the finals Nov. 15.
It was the first ever finals appearance for the Knights, coached by Remy Salvador. The team consisted of seniors Gila Braun, Soraya Swedelson and Isabella Watchi; juniors Lauren Acededo, Grace Acedo, Chaya Feinberg, Peyton Jacks, Natalia Riosenfeld and Samantha Smith; sophomores Alaina Beres, Cody Martino and Rachael Thompson; and freshmen Tatum Buchen and Sasha Feinberg.
