Four Catholic school golfers advanced to the CIF-Southern California Golf Association individual finals after qualifying in divisional tournaments this week.

In the Northern Division tournament Oct. 28 at Soule Park Golf Course in Ojai, junior Laura Brown of Notre Dame/Sherman Oaks and freshman Vannessa Zhang of La Salle each shot two-over-par 73s, three shots behind leader Meg Yoshida of Palos Verdes. Also qualifying was senior Diana Delgado of Bishop Amat at 77.

In the Southern Division competition at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino Hills held Oct. 29, freshman Ryan Bullock of Santa Margarita qualified for the individual finals with a four-over-par 78. Junior Heejo Hyun of J.Serra shot 79 and is an alternate for the finals.

Individual finals will be held Nov. 7 at Western Hills Golf & Country Club, Chino Hills in conjunction with the team qualifier tournament. Four divisional team championships will be decided Nov. 4, with the top three teams in each division advancing to the Nov. 7 tournament.

The CIF-SCGA championships take place on Nov. 14 at Brookside Golf Course, Pasadena, followed by the state championships on Nov. 19 at Poppy Hills Golf Course, Pebble Beach.
