Mater Dei, Bishop Montgomery and St. Francis will play in the May 6 quarterfinals in their respective divisions, with St. Francis (6-10) the interloper.
The unseeded Golden Knights toppled Dos Pueblos 80-76 in games won (the teams tied 9-9 in sets won) and will play No. 5 Cypress in the Division 2 quarterfinals.
In Division 3, No. 2 Mater Dei (13-7) defeated Capistrano Valley 15-3 and will play No. 8 Carpinteria (21-4) in the quarters. And in D-4, second-seeded Bishop Montgomery (12-5) downed Hemet 11-7, advancing to play Le Lycee (7-3).
Two other Catholic teams were less successful in the second round. In D-1, Loyola lost to San Marino 11-7, and in D-5, No. 8 Bishop Amat lost to No. 9 Heritage 12-6.
