J.Serra of San Juan Capistrano and Bishop Montgomery of Torrance are the lone Catholic school teams remaining in the CIF-Southern Section boys’ tennis playoffs after quarterfinal wins on May 14.

In Division 2, J.Serra (22-1) got past Huntington Beach 10-8, and now faces Fountain Valley (18-3-1) in the semifinals May 16. Santa Margarita was edged in the quarterfinals by Arroyo Grande 84-79 in games won, after tying 9-9 in sets won.

And in Division 5, Bishop Montgomery (13-3) defeated Orange 10-8, and plays the winner of Colony vs. Milken Community in the May 16 semis. But Damien lost its D-3 quarterfinal match to Ventura 11-7.

Tournament finals are May 18 at the Claremont Club, which will host the CIF Southern California Regional Team Tournament May 25 and 26.
