Four Catholic school teams are still alive in the CIF-Southern Section boys’ team tennis playoffs after second round wins on May 11.
In Division 2, Santa Margarita trounced Walnut 13-5, and J.Serra got past Buckley 10-8. The quarterfinals on May 14 match Santa Margarita against Arroyo Grande, and J.Serra against Huntington Beach.
In Division 3, Damien stopped Whitney 11-7, and will play Ventura in the quarterfinals.
And in Division 5, Bishop Montgomery edged Serrano 10-8, but Bishop Amat fell to Alta Loma 10-8. Bishop Montgomery plays Orange in the quarterfinals.
Semifinals are May 16, and finals May 18. The CIF Southern California Regional Team Tournament takes place at the Claremont Club, with quarterfinals and semifinals May 25, and finals May 26.
