Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank will host an Infant Safety and CPR class for parents of children up to one year of age, including newborns, on Jan. 18 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The evening class will offer a complete discussion about “childproofing” the entire home, including safety measures for the pool, car and other dangerous areas. Instruction on CPR and choking management will also be included.
The class aims to give parents and child caregivers the information necessary to prevent common childhood accidents, while also teaching how to perform infant CPR when an infant stops breathing.
