St. Anthony High School’s STEAM curriculum makes students workplace ready

The arts and the sciences are thriving at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach with the recent introduction of six new courses this year.

The STEAM program — which includes the arts along with science, technology, engineering and mathematics — allows students to prepare for 21st-century jobs through inquiry, dialogue and critical thinking.

The school also added a computer lab to its library to better serve the students studying 3-D design, engineering design and sports medicine, along with other technology classes
