Run at St. Anthony High School in Long Beach broke records, with more than 1,600 people showing up to run and walk in the 5K race. The event also brought in a record-breaking amount in donations: they raised more than $100,000 for the school’s scholarship and financial aid program.

“It was wonderful to see so many Saints and Saints supporters coming together for this very worthwhile community event,” school principal Mike Schabert said.

Fourteen-year-old Alana Takamiyashiro placed first in the women’s division with a time of 24:06. Michael Desmond, 48, placed first for the men’s division with a time of 18:59. The race took contestants along the Pacific coast, with the finish line at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Molina Healthcare, the Aquarium, Gladstone’s Restaurant and Shenanigans Irish Pub were donors for the event.
