For the tenth year in a row, summertime meant Vacation Bible School was in session at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Downey.  A team of 15 adults was assisted by 20 teen volunteers who helped make the 10th annual Vacation Bible School at OLPH a huge success.

Seventy children from the parish enjoyed this year's theme of "Cave Quest" as they learned about the Bible and deepened their understanding of the faith. This year's VBS ran daily from Monday, July 11 through Friday, July 22. Sessions began with prayer and song before the children broke out into their study groups.

"We are very excited to share Gods word with so many children," said Mary Rogers, religious education secretary at Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
