If you’re looking to increase your chances of earning a Fulbright scholar, you might want to consider Loyola Marymount University. The university has just been named one of the top universities in the country for students who earn these prestigious grants to study, teach English, and conduct research abroad.

According to the list published by the Chronicle of Higher Education, in the 2018-19 school year, five LMU students were awarded Fulbright grants from the 17 who applied. This ranks LMU in the top five nationwide Master’s universities. The five students were awarded grants to study in Belgium, Colombia, Laos, South Korea, and Spain.

Since its inception in 1946, the Fulbright Program has provided more than 390,000 participants — chosen for their academic merit and leadership potential — with the opportunity to exchange ideas and contribute to finding solutions to shared international concerns. More than 1,900 U.S. students, artists and young professionals in more than 100 fields of study are offered Fulbright Program grants each year.
