In an effort to provide “a seamless transition from middle school to high school,” La Reina High School will offer a middle school for girls to include grades 6-8 beginning in fall 2015. Founded in Thousand Oaks by the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1964, La Reina currently offers enrollment for grades 7-12.

“We are committed to providing the best possible educational experience for every student,” said Dr. Christopher Tolcher, La Reina Board of Trustees chairman. He asserted that the La Reina Middle School experience “will fulfill the academic, social, emotional and spiritual needs of sixth, seventh and eighth grade girls as they make the developmental transition from elementary school to high school.”

It is anticipated that the initial sixth grade class will serve up to 60 students. An Information Night for prospective sixth and seventh grade families will take place Oct. 23, 7 p.m. Information: (805) 495-6494, [email protected] or www.lareina.com.
