This month, the marching band of Chaminade College Preparatory joined in the traditional celebration of Festival De Magdalena, an event honoring Mary Magdalene and hosted in Castellón, Spain. The performance marks the fourth time that a U.S. band appeared in the festival.
The band contributed to the festival with a march through town, stopping to perform for a community social club. Later in the day, the band performed in the stage show “Animacion” before an audience of 3,000.
The school, located in San Fernando Valley, was able to participate with bands coming from Ireland, Belgium, Switzerland and Croatia.
