On June 29, the Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will begin an intensive four-week basketball camp with a focus on skill development, good practice habits and drills. The program is open to boys and girls in grades fourth through ninth.

“Our basketball camp is a great opportunity for players to immerse themselves in four solid weeks of training,” said Bosco Tech basketball coach Dominic Sermeno. “Boys and girls will definitely strengthen their game and improve their skills during the long summer break.”

The young athletes will learn the fundamentals of good offense and defense before competing in 2-on-2 and 3-on-3 tournaments and free throw and 3-point shot contests. The camp will also feature goal-setting exercises and awards for each age group.

The camp fee is $175 per student. Sessions will be held from 1-3 p.m. for students in grades four through eight and from 3-4:30 p.m. for students in ninth grade.

The basketball camp will run concurrently with Bosco Tech’s five-week multi-sports camp for students in grades sixth through eighth. Each week the camp will feature one of five sports: baseball, football, soccer, tennis or volleyball.

Students may select the number of weeks they will attend. The camp runs from June 22 through July 24.
