Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host the Fourth Annual Yurak Memorial 5K Run at Irwindale’s Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area on Saturday, February 14, 2015. In addition to the race, the event will feature a free kids-only 1K Fun Run.
The 5K course is on a level path next to the water, making it an ideal route for competitive runners as well as walkers. All proceeds will benefit Bosco Tech’s Yurak Athletic Center (YAC), the school’s sports training facility and home of its nine competitive sports teams. The center is named after long-time athletic director and football coach Bill Yurak.
Race registration is $35, which includes racing fees, a finisher medal, commemorative T-shirt, and goody bag. Plaques will be awarded to the top five male and female runners and to the fastest runner under 18 years of age.
